CME

The mission of the Brookwood Baptist Health Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program is to support the system’s mission to “Extend the healing ministry of Christ through holistic, people-centered health care” by producing CME activities designed to improve the competence of the community’s physicians and allied health professionals.

The CME department has provided CME activities to the medical staffs of Brookwood Baptist Health and its affiliated hospitals since the mid 1970's.

Our CME program sponsors a wide variety of activities including a number of regularly scheduled series, as well as directly-sponsored and jointly-provided activities that enable healthcare professionals to better diagnose, treat, manage, and educate their patients.

Each year our program certifies approximately 30 activities and issues over 900 credit hours to over 6,000 learners.  Brookwood Baptist Health recently earned a six-year accreditation with commendation from the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. This is the highest certificate awarded to a provider of CME for physicians.
